Placements24 is recruiting for a Healthcare Facility Sanitation Supervisor in Welkom, Free State. You will oversee environmental services staff, enforce infection control cleaning protocols, and ensure a sterile, safe hospital environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in healthcare sanitation with supervisory experience and strong leadership and communication skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in healthcare sanitation or environmental services.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of hospital-grade cleaners and infection control standards (e.g., CDC guidelines).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Supervise daily activities of environmental services and sanitation staff.
• Develop and enforce infection control cleaning protocols in patient care areas.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness standards and identify hazards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning chemicals, equipment and supplies.
• Train new staff on cleaning techniques, infection control and safety.
• Monitor waste management including biohazardous waste disposal.
