Responsibilities include coordinating risk identification, incident reporting, and analysis, training file managers, and assisting with professional liability and claims processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field.
• Two+ years of healthcare risk management, performance or quality improvement experience.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred.
• Registered Nurse licensure in Michigan preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and administers systems for risk identification, investigation and reduction.
• Assists in developing and delivering risk management education and programs for hospital staff.
• Manages the electronic incident reporting system and ensures data accuracy by managers.
• Performs root cause analysis and follows up on action plans with departments.
• Reviews patient safety events and supports risk reduction activities.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive risk management information.
