Job summary

Adventist Health is seeking a Risk Management Specialist in Hanford, CA to support the department in achieving risk management program goals. You will initiate and review events in the Event Reporting System, triage grievances, and provide administrative support to the Risk Management Director.

Collaborate with Risk Management, Claims, Legal and Patient Safety teams to promote safety, compliance, and effective incident response.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in healthcare related field is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Two years' clinical or risk management experience in healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with identifying and managing actual and potential risks to the organization. Reviews event reporting and triages grievances, complaints, and concerns.
• Acts as liaison to assess risk exposures in clinical and other situations, coordinating with Safety, Procurement, and Clinical Engineering teams.
• Ensures timely response to inquiries for claims history and coverage information; participates in claims processes and protects documents.
• Supports analysis of data to identify topics for targeted training and education.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
