Job summary

Unified Women's Healthcare in Florida is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to resolve AR, handle denials, review insurance payments, and collaborate with practices and payers to optimize reimbursement. The role requires strong communication, attention to detail and experience with medical billing.

You will work with CRM and practice management systems, including preferred Athenanet, Salesforce, and payer portals, supporting a team focused on accurate claims processing and timely cash

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary degree preferred.
• 2+ years experience interpreting insurance explanations of benefits and patient responsibilities.
• 2+ years experience with medical claims, billing, collections and appeals; OB/GYN preferred.
• Experience with practice management systems (Athenanet preferred).
• Experience with cloud-based CRM technology (Salesforce preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.
• Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team.
• Knowledge of payer portals (Availity, Navinet, Optum) and billing guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Resolve Accounts Receivable and collections, including denials.
• Review, follow up, and appeal denied claims per standards.
• Determine accuracy of insurance payments and follow up on discrepancies.
• Initiate, follow up, and respond on payer reimbursement issues.
• Communicate with practices and payers regarding denials and payer trends.
• Analyze and review work done by third parties.
• Build and generate reports as needed.
