Job summary

BrightView Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to support end-to-end medical billing for physician and clinic claims. You will submit claims to third-party carriers, secure documentation, and monitor payment progress while ensuring accurate coding and billing practices.

The role requires attention to detail, proactive communication with insurers and staff, and a commitment to regulatory compliance within a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Self-motivated and self-directed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of billing software preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, health care administration, finance, business, or related field preferred.
• 2 years previous experience as a medical biller or in a related healthcare administrative position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit physician and clinic claims to third party insurance carriers either electronically or by hard copy billing.
• Secure needed medical documentation required or requested by third party insurances.
• Follow up with third party insurance carriers on unpaid claims or remaining self-pay balances.
• Process rejections by correcting billing errors and resubmitting claims to insurers.
• Collaborate with physicians or medical records staff to ensure correct diagnosis/procedures are reported.
• Maintain documentation and charge entry of patient charges; stay updated on billing changes.
• Monitor claims for missing information and authorization/control numbers.
• Support clinic mission, standards, policies, confidentiality, and ethical behavior.
• Maintain third party billing logs and ensure regulatory compliance.
