Job summary

University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a Revenue Cycle Analyst—Optimization for Patient Financial Services. The role partners with revenue cycle and clinical operations to analyze performance, identify gaps, and drive workflow improvements across Epic revenue workflows and payer processes.

You will deliver SBARs and data-driven dashboards, mentor Analysts I–II, and collaborate with regional IT to implement changes that maximize revenue and reduce avoidable write-offs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Science, Economics, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Healthcare Revenue Cycle/Finance experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Expert knowledge of Epic charging workflows, payer reimbursement, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to translate data into actionable insights and SBARs.

Responsibilities

• Conducts in-depth root cause analysis of revenue leakage and write-offs.
• Develops mitigation strategies including workflow redesign and technology-enabled solutions.
• Leads initiatives to reduce write-offs across regions.
• Facilitates stakeholder meetings and presents data-driven findings to leadership.
• Mentors Analysts I and II on reporting standards and analytical techniques.
