Job summary

Grassi Healthcare Advisors seeks an experienced Healthcare Consulting Manager to lead reimbursement and financial advisory engagements across NY/NJ. You will drive cost reporting, rate development, and value-based care initiatives for hospitals and provider organizations.

The role emphasizes Medicare/Medicaid expertise, financial analytics, and client leadership, with opportunities to mentor staff and contribute to practice growth across healthcare services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or related field required.
• Master's degree (MHA, MBA, MPH, or related discipline) preferred.
• 7+ years of healthcare consulting, provider finance, reimbursement, or healthcare financial management experience.
• Experience with Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting, NY/NJ reimbursement methodologies, rate appeals and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation, review, and analysis of Medicare, Medicaid, and cost reports.
• Conduct reimbursement analyses to identify revenue enhancement opportunities.
• Assist providers with NYS DOH and NJ DHS reimbursement programs.
• Analyze Medicaid rate-setting methodologies and APG reimbursement.
• Prepare reimbursement impact analyses for acquisitions, affiliations, and service line expansions.
• Support responses to governmental audits and reimbursement inquiries.
• Perform healthcare financial assessments, benchmarking, and operational improvements.
• Develop financial projections, reimbursement forecasts, and strategic business plans.
• Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate service line profitability and contribution margin.
• Support value-based care initiatives.
