Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, OR seeks a journey-level Refrigeration/HVAC Technician to maintain and repair HVAC/refrigeration systems and BAS controls in the Facilities Healthcare Zone. You will perform preventive maintenance, order parts, and support emergency responses, with on-call duties and training responsibilities.

The role requires a refrigeration mechanic apprenticeship completion, journey-level experience, and a valid Oregon driver's license; Siemens/Johnson Controls

Qualifications

• Journey-level refrigeration mechanic experience with installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration equipment and air conditioning systems.
• Completion of an approved refrigeration mechanic apprenticeship.
• Ability to operate desktop and laptop computers and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Driver’s License valid in Oregon.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC/refrigeration systems including ice machines, freezers, refrigerators, air handlers, and pumps.
• Operate, maintain, and repair BAS and related control devices for HVAC systems.
• Prepare job estimates and maintain records of tests, inspections, repairs, and equipment replacement.
• Order HVAC/refrigeration parts and manage inventory; train others and participate in meetings about changes to systems.
• Serve as primary customer service representative for facilities operations on work orders.
