Job summary

McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture is seeking a creative Project Architect to join our Healthcare practice in a collaborative environment. You will lead production, develop construction documents, and guide design teams on complex projects from schematic design through construction.

The role emphasizes client communication, budget awareness, and coordination with engineers and consultants to meet environment, safety, and constructability standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent is required.
• Licensed architect preferred but not required.
• Minimum five (5) years combined experience as an intern architect and/or architect.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Proficiency in Revit; experience with Newforma Project Center/Planifi/Bluebeam.
• Strong communication, time management and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support and review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs.
• Produce construction documents, revisions, and addenda; ensure quality and accuracy.
• Take responsibility for finished plans, specs, and materials approvals; assist with budgets.
• Collaborate with engineers, consultants, contractors and clients; manage design teams.
