McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture is seeking a Project Architect to join our Healthcare practice in Greenville, SC. Lead project teams, develop schematics, and produce construction documents for complex healthcare facilities.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in architecture, proficiency in Revit, Newforma, and Bluebeam, with strong communication and project management skills. We value collaborative teamwork, design excellence, and durable environmental design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent.
• Licensed architect preferred but not required.
• Minimum five (5) years combined experience as an intern architect and/or architect.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Experience with Newforma Project Center.
• Experience with Newforma Project Analyzer (Planifi).
• Experience with Bluebeam PDF Revu.
• Solid building technology fundamentals.
• Thorough knowledge of codes, operations, processes, and trends.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks with competing priorities.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to provide clear direction.
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity.

Responsabilités

• Provide production support on healthcare projects.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and respond to RFIs.
• Produce construction documents, revisions, and addenda.
• Ensure plans and materials meet standards and approvals.
• Assist with project budgets.
• Prepare design presentation materials.
• Develop schematic design concepts with clients.
• Provide architectural consultation for large, complex projects.
• Write project specifications as assigned.
• Conduct code research and obtain approvals from agencies.
• Collaborate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Take on project manager duties as needed.
• Prepare proposals, budgets, schedules, and staffing projections.
• Supervise design team and ensure objectives are met.
• Ensure environmental, safety, structural, zoning, and aesthetics standards.
• Manage and nurture client relationships.
• Oversee construction administration and change orders.
• Support business development activities.
