Job summary

State of South Carolina Department of Public Health seeks a Lowcountry Healthcare Preparedness Program Coordinator to support area coalition plans and grant development across eleven counties. The role involves technical assistance, programmatic review, and community outreach to enhance health preparedness and equity.

Subject to 24-hour response duty, with possible recall from leave or travel. Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least three years in public health preparedness or hospital

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of three years of public health preparedness program and/or hospital preparedness experience

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Area Healthcare Coalition plans development, sustainment, and maintenance through Technical Assistance and Programmatic Review to assure compliance with state and federal program requirements and grant guidelines.
• Support Healthcare Coalition grant and financial development, sustainment, and maintenance through Technical Assistance and Programmatic Review.
• Support community-based healthcare preparedness through outreach, coordination, education, and training.
• Support community-based healthcare response operations by assisting with the development, maintenance, and sustainment of a deployable asset readiness report.
