Job summary

Onyx Health Consulting is seeking a Porter to support the Environmental Services Department in a healthcare setting in Miami, FL. You will help ensure residents, patients, visitors and employees have a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

The role involves floor care, window cleaning, general housekeeping, and coordination with nursing staff. Prior experience in cleaning healthcare or related facilities is required, and successful applicants must pass Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning hotel rooms, apartments, hospitals, nursing home / assisted living buildings.

Responsibilities

• Strip, wax, burnish floors and clean windows using shampoo machines.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust and remove trash; assist with room moves.
• Maintain exterior areas including parking lot, patio, loading dock, and entrance.
• Clean resident rooms and common areas.
• Remove trash and soiled linens.
• Coordinate daily environmental services with nursing staff during routine cleaning.
• Assist with special events setup and breakdown.
• Maintain good working relationships with fellow staff and supervisors.
• Work in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and ensure equipment is clean and functional.

Education

Previous experience cleaning healthcare facilities (hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living)
