Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, Environmental Services, or hospital experience preferred but not required.
• Healthcare environment experience is a plus.
• Ability to understand basic instructions, safety information, chemical labels, and departmental procedures.
• Ability to follow infection prevention and cleaning protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a professional demeanor.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout Larkin Community Hospital South Miami Campus.
• Support Environmental Services by performing routine and specialized cleaning duties, transporting waste and soiled linen, and assisting with room turnover.
• Contribute to infection prevention standards and a safe environment for patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
• Prioritize tasks and respond to urgent cleaning needs while maintaining confidentiality and hospital policies.
