Job summary

Medxcel is seeking a mid-level Physical Environment Safety Officer II to lead and coordinate the organization’s PE safety programs within healthcare facilities. The role ensures compliance with CMS, TJC, MIOSHA, EPA, NFPA, and related standards, maintaining readiness and driving preventive actions.

Responsibilities include policy interpretation, incident investigation support, and training development to mitigate hazards and enhance safety across hospital environments.

Qualifications

• Requires safety, emergency management, or related field experience; degree preferred.
• Experience in hospital/healthcare facilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and accreditation processes is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Physical Environment safety programs and associate safety initiatives.
• Identify regulatory risks and apply policy updates.
• Maintain documentation and regulatory readiness materials (EC/EM plans).
• Lead PE committee and rounding activities; support MIOSHA/TJC/CMS compliance.
