Job summary

Lakeland Rehab and Healthcare Center seeks a Transportation Driver to safely move patients to and from hospitals, clinics, dialysis centers, and homes. You will provide courteous service, assist residents with boarding, seating, and mobility devices, and help with groceries and packages.

Responsibilities include vehicle upkeep, pre/post-trip inspections, maintaining logs, and communicating with the facility about schedules.

Qualifications

• Active Indiana Driver’s License required.
• Experience as a bus or van driver preferred.
• Must possess the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents. Writing and computer skills are required for completing reports and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation of residents to appointments and activities.
• Assist residents with boarding and seating, and with securing wheelchairs.
• Maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness; perform pre/post-trip inspections.
• Log reports and schedules; follow safety protocols and infection control.
• Communicate schedule progress with the facility and navigate using GPS.
