Job summary

Barnes & Thornburg LLP is seeking a paralegal for the Healthcare Department and Healthcare Industry Practice in our Columbus office. This full-time position offers exceptional training and meaningful exposure to complex regulatory, corporate, and transactional matters within the healthcare industry in a fast-paced Am Law 100 environment.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate and/or bachelor’s degree from a highly regarded institution.
• Excellent academic credentials and a strong work ethic.
• Superior organizational, analytical and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with legal document management systems.
• Comfortable with using AI tools such as Harvey and Copilot
• Relevant paralegal or administrative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and draft routine documents, correspondence and memoranda.
• Assist with regulatory filings (licensure applications, provider enrollment materials, ownership transfer docs).
• Support attorneys with project management across multiple matters.
• Oversee and coordinate transaction closings and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of completed transactions.
• Communicate with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel and government agencies.
• Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
