Job summary

Stott and May is seeking a Mulesoft Integration Architect to support a healthcare project. This is a remote, part-time contract starting ASAP through year-end.

You will own healthcare integrations for the customer, from performance of existing integrations to connecting new health system partners, focusing on HL7, API-led connectivity, and data mapping. The role emphasizes reusable assets and end-to-end delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, building, and supporting enterprise integrations, including 5+ years MuleSoft development.
• 3+ years as a technical architect or integration lead with end-to-end responsibility.
• 3+ years building and supporting production HL7 v2 interfaces (ADT, ORU, VXU).
• MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect or MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect (current).
• Experience integrating Salesforce with clinical or enterprise systems.
• Experience handling PHI in HIPAA environments.
• Experience with automated testing (MUnit), source control, CI/CD, and controlled releases.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy HL7, API, event-driven, batch, and file-based integrations using API-led connectivity and reusable assets.
• Lead onboarding of health system partners, including connectivity, interface specs, data mapping, testing, and production readiness.
• Turn partner onboarding into a repeatable framework rather than custom implementations.
• Own delivery from discovery through deployment and hypercare with automated testing and controlled releases.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and reconciliation across critical data feeds.
• Diagnose production issues, coordinate recovery, and validate corrective actions.
• Produce architecture docs, data mappings, and runbooks to standard support levels.
• Provide integration architecture estimates for client pursuits and contribute guidance to healthcare/Salesforce engagements.
• Communicate status, risks, and dates clearly to clients and executives.
• Review designs and code, mentor developers, and establish integration standards.
