Job summary

UHealth-University of Miami Health System in Miami, FL is seeking a Systems Architect 2, MLOps Engineer to design, build, and deploy clinical ML/AI solutions. You will architect scalable platforms, leverage Python and ML frameworks, and guide cross-functional teams across data science and IT to productionize AI-enabled services.

The role emphasizes hybrid cloud/on-prem deployments, robust CI/CD pipelines, and adherence to HIPAA and related privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Epic or Healthcare EMR certification preferred.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in systems architecture, DevOps, or MLOps.
• Experience with hybrid cloud/on-prem environments; Azure preferred.
• Experience deploying and maintaining production workloads.
• Major systems development and implementation experience.
• Experience mentoring and leading data teams or software teams.
• Experience with HPC or GPU workloads is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement ML/AI platforms for research, clinical and operational domains.
• Design robust CI/CD pipelines for automated ML deployment and retraining.
• Lead projects with high complexity and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with data scientists and IT to productionize models.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and healthcare standards.
• Mentor senior analysts and engineers; manage vendor relationships.
