Job summary

UCLA Health is seeking a Materials Management Supervisor to oversee all supply chain operations across UCLA Health facilities. You will supervise logistics staff, manage inventory, maintain PAR levels, and support patient care units and procedural areas.

You will coordinate with clinical teams to understand supply needs, optimize routes, and ensure timely deliveries. The role requires strong leadership, detailed documentation, and a focus on service excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Materials Management or Supply Chain, including supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a commitment to customer service.
• Advanced computer proficiency and familiarity with supply management software.
• Ability to manage deadlines and follow protocols with accountability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train logistics staff to ensure productivity and task completion across shifts.
• Oversee product issues, transitions, and resolution processes.
• Assign routes and allocate tasks to staff for department operations and maintenance.
• Ensure excellent customer service and meet department service standards.
• Manage inventory including ordering, receiving, distributing, and maintenance of backup stock.
• Replenish inventory using SCM systems and handheld devices.
• Perform physical inventory counts and maintain documentation.
• Adjust PAR levels to meet changing supply demands.
• Stock, clean, and organize inventory holding areas.
• Distribute linen, supplies, and equipment across the health system.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to understand supply needs and preferences.
• Set up or modify inventory items within SCM software.
