Job summary

DBL Law's Covington, Kentucky office seeks a Litigation Associate with a focus on healthcare-related civil litigation. This role requires strong drafting, research, and advocacy skills to support complex state and federal matters.

Ideal candidates have at least four years of civil litigation experience, an outstanding academic record, and an active Kentucky license. You will work closely with partners to develop case strategy and manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of civil litigation experience in state and federal courts.
• Excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare legal briefs and pleadings.
• Work with clients in the preparation of discovery responses.
• Prepare and argue motions.
• Perform legal research and writing.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare trial materials and assist at pretrial, trial, and post-trial proceedings.
• Multi-task, meet deadlines, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Independently manage cases.
• Handle various aspects of litigation, such as motion hearings, mediations, and depositions.
• Respond to administrative charges.
• Collaborate with partners and other associates to develop and implement case strategy.
