Job summary

DBL Law is seeking a Litigation Associate attorney for its Covington, KY office, primarily handling healthcare-related litigation. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of civil litigation experience, is licensed in Kentucky, and demonstrates strong drafting, writing, and analytical abilities.

The role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of civil litigation experience in state and federal courts.
• Excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Outstanding academic record and civil litigation experience preferred.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare legal briefs and pleadings.
• Work with clients in discovery responses.
• Prepare and argue motions.
• Perform legal research and writing.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare trial materials and assist at pretrial, trial, and post-trial proceedings.
• Multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Independently manage cases.
• Handle motions hearings, mediations, and depositions.
• Respond to administrative charges.
• Collaborate with partners and other associates to develop case strategy.
• Other duties as assigned.
