Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to follow precise folding instructions and count pieces accurately.
• Knowledge of clothes and materials used in linen handling.
• Ability to read and write English; clerical tasks include basic records.
• Ability to take linen orders by telephone and maintain simple records.

Responsibilities

• Assemble racks of clean linen for unit delivery and prepare exchange carts.
• Distribute clean linen to area clinics and take orders by telephone.
• Sort and inspect linen, patch and repair when needed, and prepare kits and packs.
• Fold linens using the folding machine and ensure proper stock in carts.
• Maintain records of uniforms and organize the linen room.
