Job summary

PruittHealth – Shepherd Hills in Georgia-LaFayette is seeking a full-time Laundry Clerk to load, wash, dry, and fold linens and patient clothing. You will operate washers and dryers, manage detergents, and ensure items are sorted and stored properly on shift.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean work area, following MSDS precautions, and reporting repairs. Prior healthcare laundering experience is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• High School degree preferred.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Previous experience in healthcare laundering processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loads articles in washer and adds detergent or cleaning agents.
• Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and places into wringer and dryer for set time cycles.
• Sorts dry articles by identification numbers or type.
• Folds and stores items in appropriate storage bin.
• Keeps laundry area clean and organized; follows schedules.
• Reports needed repairs to maintenance and operates washing equipment.
