Job summary

Essen Health Care is seeking a Director of Training and Development to lead enterprise-wide learning strategy, partnering with operations and clinical leadership to align programs with organizational goals. The role emphasizes onboarding, staff engagement, and professional growth within a Bronx office.

Reporting to the Senior Director, the leader will oversee ADDIE design, Kirkpatrick evaluation, and regulatory compliance across clinical, administrative, and leadership functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Organizational Development, HR, or Education preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in learning and development, talent management, or organizational effectiveness.
• Strong background in instructional design, adult learning theory, and learning measurement frameworks.
• Experience working in healthcare or a regulated industry preferred.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with LMS platforms and data analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute the training and development strategy across clinical, administrative, and leadership functions.
• Partner with department heads to identify skill gaps and create targeted learning pathways.
• Manage the Learning Management System and ensure content quality, tracking, and reporting.
• Execute measurable learning outcomes and performance metrics to evaluate training effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the Senior Director and P&C leaders to align training programs with talent management and organizational goals.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, compliance requirements, and healthcare education trends.
• Ensure all programs meet regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Utilize the ADDIE methodology in design and development of training programs.
• Utilize the Kirkpatrick methodology for evaluation development.
