CHRISTUS Health in Irving, TX seeks an Accountant Lead to prepare general ledger month-end journal entries under US GAAP, review entries, and perform financial statement analysis for the assigned accounting team. The role emphasizes accuracy, documentation, and compliance across multiple functional areas.

The Lead Accountant will guide others, ensure timely month-end close, and drive process improvements within the Healthcare system, reporting to the Accounting Manager.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent is required.
• 7 years of accounting experience required.
• General ledger accounting experience and Healthcare accounting experience preferred.
• CPA license preferred; some assistance available for licensing.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare month-end journal entries in accordance with US GAAP, with complete and accurate supporting documentation.
• Independent analysis of applicable accounting guidance (FASB, AICPA, etc.) to guarantee proper treatment and compliance with US GAAP.
• Perform variance analysis on assigned accounts to both budget and trend.
• Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review month-end journal entries and reconciliations prepared by accountants and provide feedback.
• Assist Manager with onboarding and training accountants.
• Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and close timing.
• Develop and maintain relationships across the System and support data requests for senior management.
