Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking an Accountant II in Santa Fe, NM to prepare month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP. You will analyze variances against budget and trends, ensure proper supporting documentation, and assist across the System with information requests as needed.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent and 2 years of accounting experience; healthcare accounting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies.
• Prepare month-end journal entries in accordance with US GAAP, with complete and accurate supporting documentation.
• Perform variance analysis on assigned accounts to both budget and trend and provide explanations for month-end review of financial statements.
• Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist accounting lead and manager with information requests from other teams across the System as needed.
