Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Laundry Aide for our Bismarck, ND facility. This role focuses on maintaining a clean environment within a healthcare setting, handling sorting and washing of linens, and following infection control guidelines.

You will work as part of a team or independently to ensure proper laundry processing per location standards. The position involves lifting and moving textiles, operating laundry equipment, and following safety and quality protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to use a computer; prior cleaning experience in a healthcare setting is helpful.
• Knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment and methods used in cleaning; valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day tasks to maintain a clean environment in a health care organization.
• Work independently or in a team; handle laundry tasks including sorting, washing, chemical application, and water temperature per location standards.
• Follow infection prevention guidelines for handling contaminated laundry according to organizational standards.
• Participate in laundry collection, sorting, and distribution of clean laundry per location processes and policies.
• Collect dirty linens and distribute clean linens; assist with labeling, storage and inventory as directed.
