Job summary

Bedford Alzheimer's Care Center is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to wash, dry, and distribute linens for residents, ensuring clean, well-maintained laundry stock daily. Expect courteous interaction with Residents and staff while adhering to safety and infection-control policies.

Responsibilities include sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens, plus assisting in emergencies. Benefits package accompanies full-time roles, with focus on reliability and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret policies, labels, and safety sheets.
• Ability to measure and pour cleaning chemicals accurately and safely.
• Follows directions and communicates courteously with staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Ensures adequate laundry/linen supplies are maintained to meet daily needs of Residents.
• Collects and sorts soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., and places in appropriate containers or assigned area.
• Folds, hangs and distributes clean laundry linen and garments to Residents daily.
• Disposes of infectious waste according to Infection Control Policy with appropriate containers.
• Assists in evacuating Residents in an emergency.
