Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a Laundry Aide to manage washing, sorting and folding of soiled linens and to operate washers, dryers, folders, ironer and other laundry equipment. The role includes delivering and picking up linens within the medical center and at off-campus facilities, supporting patient care and ancillary departments.

The position runs 6:00am–2:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays, and requires a High School Diploma. Class E driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Drivers license may be required.
• Experience in healthcare laundry is not specified.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for receiving, sorting and washing of soiled linen from areas within and outside of the medical center.
• Responsible for loading and unloading of washers and dryers, folding linens and operating laundry equipment including washers, dryers, folders, ironer and hot patches.
• Processes clean linens for distribution to patient care, ancillary departments and outside facilities.
• Prepares, delivers and picks up linens from areas within the medical center, and from off campus facilities.
