Responsibilities

• Soiled Processing and Laundry Machine Operations: receive soiled textiles, ensure separation from clean textiles and processing areas.
• Sorts and classifies textiles by fabric type, soil level, required treatment, washing characteristics, and processing requirements.
• Weighs textiles and maintains production and load documentation.
• Operates multiple commercial/industrial washing machines and loads/unloads equipment to meet production needs.
• Selects wash formulas and programs based on textile composition, soil, infection-control requirements, and processing needs.
• Monitors machine operation and wash quality; adjusts wash parameters to correct deficiencies as needed.
• Changes chemical containers, follows SDS and safety procedures; ensures proper chemical handling and safety practices.
• Maintains cleanliness of wash areas and equipment; assists with folding, stacking, and distribution of clean textiles.
• Adheres to infection prevention, chemical handling, and machine-safety protocols; reports maintenance needs promptly.
