Job summary

Pruitthealth Corporation is seeking a Laundry Aide to assist with laundering sheets, blankets, and resident clothing. You will operate washers and dryers, sort items, and ensure clean, ready-to-wear laundry for patients.

The role includes handling soaps and chemicals safely and maintaining a tidy work area. On-the-job training is provided, with a preference for candidates who have prior experience in healthcare laundering.

Qualifications

• High School degree preferred.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Experience in healthcare laundering processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Folds and sorts laundry (blankets, sheets, towels, clothing).
• Hangs clothes on racks by name and number.
• Delivers patient/resident laundry to designated areas.
• Ensures clothes are ready to wear and in good condition.
• Uses appropriate soaps and bleaches safely.
• Follows MSDS precautions for chemicals used.
• Washes and dries clothes and linens.
• Keeps laundry equipment clean and maintained.
• Maintains a clean, organized laundry area; sweeps and mops.
• Reports repairs needed to maintenance.
• Operates large filters on schedule.
• Handles soiled laundry properly.
• Disinfects linen carts per policy.
• Empties washers and dryers as needed.
• Operates water, gas and electric shutoffs correctly.
• Understands stain removal processes.
