Job summary

Woodland Springs Behavioral Health is seeking a Cook to join our hospital kitchen. You will ensure meals are prepared on time, assist with modified diets, and supervise kitchen staff during food prep. You will also help with recipe adherence and maintaining a clean, compliant kitchen environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and prior food service or healthcare-related cooking experience. Strong communication skills are essential in this collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Food service or customer service experience with cooking preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure meals are ready at specified times.
• Consult with Dietitian on modified diets when needed.
• Supervise Nutritional Services workers during food prep.
• Measure and mix ingredients per approved recipes.
• Prepare sauces, soups, meats and desserts per guidelines.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and infection control.
