Job summary

Cypress Pointe Health & Wellness in Houston, TX is seeking a part-time Cook and Kitchen Staff member. You will prepare soups, stocks, sauces, and various items according to standardized recipes, and assist with meal production to meet serving times and quality standards.

The role requires basic arithmetic, recipe interpretation, and English communication. Prior kitchen experience and knowledge of equipment are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively.
• Ability to interpret recipes, measurements, and standards.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety basics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare soups, stocks, sauces, and roasted items per standardized recipes.
• Prepare and serve sauteed, fried, grilled, steamed, and baked items per recipes.
• Plan production to align with meal serving hours and quality standards.
• Ensure supplies are adequate for daily menus and maintain attendance punctuality.
