Job summary

Focused Post Acute Care Partners (FPACP) in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Cook to prepare meals per menus and resident diets while upholding safety standards. The role requires a ROCKSTAR attitude, strong English communication, and knowledge of sanitation policies.

Certification in Food Safety is required within 30 days of hire. Healthcare kitchen experience is preferred, and the candidate may lead the team in leadership's absence.

Qualifications

• ROCKSTAR attitude required.
• English literacy and communication skills essential.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic methods.
• Food Safety Manager Certification must be presented within 30 days of hire.
• One year of cooking experience in a healthcare setting preferred; healthcare kitchen experience considered.
• Ability to follow recipes, use basic math, and lead the team in absence of leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items according to pre-determined menus, resident diets, and preferences identified on card.
• Perform daily cleaning per sanitation, safety, and infection control policies; wear PPE as instructed.
• Understand and execute ordering, receiving, storing, preparing, and serving of food within the department.
• Safely utilize equipment; report any equipment needing service or repair immediately.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas in accordance with sanitary and infection control procedures.
• Maintain regular attendance per FPACP attendance policy.
• Promote positive customer service with residents, family members, guests, and team members.
• Adhere to dress code and workplace behavior; perform other duties as needed.
