Job summary

MMC in Harlan, IA seeks an Information Systems Director to oversee the IS department, security, and system implementations. The role partners with various departments to align technology with organizational needs and to ensure robust security and reliable operations.

The IS Director will lead staff, manage planning of IT services, production support, databases, networking, and recovery, while driving improvements and maintaining data security across the health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, computer information systems or related field required.
• Masters degree preferred.
• Experience in cybersecurity preferred.
• Three years experience in healthcare Information Systems management strongly preferred; service industry considered.
• Strong information systems management skills; strong interpersonal communications skills; experience with computer hardware, software installation, and system maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Information Systems Department, systems and security, collaborating with departments to implement and support systems.
• Regularly assess risks, vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead planning and management of IT services, production support, databases, and network operations.
• Direct system maintenance, recovery, backup, security, and new system implementations; provide desktop support and customer service across the health system.
• Lead staff in a high-performance, trust-based environment aligned with core values.
