Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in central supply within a nursing home or healthcare.
• Experience with inventory control and supply chain processes.
• Familiarity with procurement or inventory management software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Confirm all orders with written purchase orders.
• Prepare, review, and submit purchase orders according to policies.
• Assist with correspondence and claims related to damaged merchandise, shipment errors, and vendor returns.
• Assess equipment and supply needs and report findings to the Director of Nursing.
• Help determine appropriate quantities of nursing supplies and equipment.
• Deliver emergency supplies and equipment as directed.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are maintained and stored properly.
• Organize storage, issue, and delivery of supplies and equipment per policies.
• Verify invoices, purchase orders, and packing slips against shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory records upon receiving and issuing supplies.
• Follow storage instructions to prevent damage.
• Organize and catalog supply locations for efficient access.
• Notify departments when special orders arrive.
• Monitor usage to identify waste, shortages, or overuse.
• Ensure MSDS are provided per OSHA and policy.
