Job summary

Akumin is seeking an Integration Engineer to lead design, governance, and maintenance of enterprise interoperability systems across imaging workflows and EHR integrations. You will work with HealthShare/IRIS and radiology standards to ensure reliable data exchange and patient identity management.

The role requires hands-on admin of interfaces, data transformations, and automation pipelines, with a focus on HIPAA compliance and data fidelity across DICOM and HL7/FHIR protocols.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with integration platforms (HealthShare/IRIS).
• Experience with HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA/CCD, JSON/XML mapping.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and maintain interfaces and data transformations (HL7, FHIR, DICOM).
• Oversee HealthShare/IRIS engines for scalability and data fidelity.
• Implement and manage automation pipelines for deployment and testing.
• Document specifications, diagrams, and test plans for continuity.
• Architect and administer enterprise interoperability across RIS/PACS/EHR.
