Qualifications

• Experience in commercial design and health interior design.
• Minimum of three years interior design experience in construction or facilities.
• Four-year degree in interior design or equivalent experience.
• Ability to interpret/coordinate architectural/engineering plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and local safety regulations.
• Experience with government building projects and regulatory workflows.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background checks for military access.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of building codes and Joint Commission requirements for healthcare facilities.
• Manage third-party architectural and engineering contracts with VA.
• Assist in preparing contract documents and review drawings.
• Provide life safety and fire protection reviews of design documents.
• Track findings and confirmations of corrections.
• Coordinate design reviews with multi-disciplinary team and obtain signoffs.
