Job summary

Duke Health seeks an experienced Interior Design Services Manager to lead interior planning and design initiatives across our healthcare facilities. This role blends interior design expertise, project management, and team leadership to create environments that support patient care, efficiency, and a superior experience for patients, visitors, and staff.

The incumbent will oversee a team of design professionals and manage a portfolio of renovation, relocation, refresh, and facility-improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; PM coursework or certification desired.
• 5+ years in interior design or interior project management.
• Healthcare, higher education, or commercial design experience preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare design standards and codes.

Responsibilities

• Direct interior renovation, relocation, refresh, and facility improvements.
• Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and implementation plans.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, risks, budgets, and timelines.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction for the design team.
• Create space plans, finish palettes, furniture standards, and design specs.
• Maintain design standards and branding across projects.
• Evaluate space utilization and optimize functionality and user experience.
• Consult with clinicians and end users to align with project goals.
• Manage FF&E selections, budgets, and replacement plans.
• Coordinate installation and occupancy planning with constructors.
• Ensure projects meet approved plans and quality standards.
