Job summary

Unitek Learning is seeking a Full Time Instructional Designer for higher education programs in Tempe, AZ, with a hybrid work model (3 days in office). The role focuses on creating and maintaining online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses, ensuring alignment with outcomes, and supporting faculty through best practices in instructional design.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience designing and delivering higher education courses.
• Proficiency with instructional technology and multimedia authoring tools.
• Strong knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
• Canvas experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop courses within the LMS to ensure high-quality student learning experiences.
• Create engaging instructional content including course overviews, syllabi, learning outcomes, multimedia activities, and assessments.
• Build and publish eLearning modules aligned with course outcomes.
• Collaborate with SMEs to translate technical knowledge into student-centered learning experiences.
• Apply evidence-based instructional strategies grounded in adult learning theory.
• Ensure curriculum alignment by participating in committee meetings and updating course designs.
• Review and revise materials for accuracy, accessibility, and compliance.
• Document and maintain course resources; contribute to knowledgebase materials.
• Pilot and evaluate new learning technologies and recommend tools for adoption.
• Stay current with instructional design trends and accessibility requirements.
• Support continuous improvement by gathering feedback and analyzing outcomes.
