Job summary

Stryker is seeking an Industrial Design Intern to join a cross-functional team focused on human-centered medical offerings. You will contribute to concept development, CAD, prototyping, and design visualization to support user-centered research activities.

You are pursuing a Bachelor’s in Industrial Design with proficiency in sketching, CAD, and Adobe Creative Suite. A portfolio demonstrating creativity and process thinking is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Industrial/ Product Design.
• Foundational sketching, model making, CAD, and visual storytelling.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with Rhino, SolidWorks, Creo or similar.
• A portfolio showing creativity and design process thinking.
• Positive attitude and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Design & Concept Development: create early-stage concepts through sketching, 2D visualization, and prototyping.
• Translate user insights into improved ergonomics, usability, aesthetics, and user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate design intent through visuals and stories.
• Modeling & Visualization: produce sketches, mockups, CAD studies, and visual prototypes.
