This role emphasizes collaboration with maintenance and other departments, adherence to health and safety standards, and proactive problem solving in a critical behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an HVAC training program or apprenticeship.
• Valid HVAC technician certification or license.
• Experience in a substance abuse or mental health treatment setting is preferred but not required.
• CPR Certification.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC system malfunctions, including heating, cooling, and ventilation issues.
• Install new HVAC equipment and systems as needed, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to address facility-wide HVAC needs and emergencies.
• Other facility daily maintenance duties, as assigned.
