Job summary

Staffmark Group in Destin, FL is seeking an HVAC Mechanic for direct hire. Pay is $23.00 - $27.00 per hour with full-time schedules on 2nd/3rd shifts.

The role includes troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining HVAC and refrigeration systems in healthcare facilities, along with BAS monitoring and safety compliance. Minimum 3 years of HVAC experience, plus related electrical, plumbing, and drawing-reading skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred unless otherwise specified.
• Additional education, certifications, or vocational training may be beneficial depending on the position.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Service air handling units, motors, belts, bearings, and filters.
• Monitor and support building automation systems (BAS).
• Track refrigerant usage and maintain compliance records.
• Complete work orders and preventive maintenance documentation.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair temperature monitoring systems.
• Perform HVAC shutdown testing and system inspections.
• Coordinate repairs and installations with facility staff.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety standards.
• Participate in safety meetings and OSHA training.
• Order and manage replacement parts and materials.
