Job summary

The University of Iowa seeks an HVAC Manager to provide leadership for the HVAC, refrigeration, and temperature monitoring operations within the Engineering Services group. This role directs maintenance, project management, and budget responsibilities while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and timely completion of work.

Collaborate with UI Health Care, Capital Management, and other departments to align capital projects with university standards and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HVAC, facilities management or related.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Experience leading a team and coordinating with clinical areas and facilities.
• Knowledge of infection control, codes and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for HVAC, refrigeration and temperature monitoring operations.
• Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage department budget and capital project input.
• Coordinate with UI Health Care and other departments on projects and standards.
• Ensure safety, on-call readiness and incident response.
