Job summary

The Staff Pad is partnering with a mission-driven healthcare organization in South Los Angeles to hire an experienced HR Business Partner. You will partner with leadership and employees to implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on workforce planning, employee relations, and regulatory compliance.

You will support performance management, development, and retention while fostering a positive workplace culture and driving engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field.
• 8+ years resolving complex employee relations issues in HRBP or similar role.
• Healthcare HR experience and knowledge of California labor laws.
• Experience in unionized environments preferred.
• Strong compliance and regulatory understanding across HR domains.

Responsibilities

• Advise leadership on workforce planning, policies, compliance, project management, and coaching.
• Lead employee relations, conflict resolution, and sensitive employment matters.
• Drive change management and organizational growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Compliance to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Oversee leave of absence processes in line with FMLA, CFRA, ADA, PDL.
• Maintain HR data, records, and documentation accurately.
• Improve policies and processes for regulatory compliance.
• Analyze HR metrics to improve engagement and retention.
• Guide managers on performance development and disciplinary actions.
• Identify training needs and support management development.
