Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a housekeeping aide to maintain a safe, sanitary, and homelike environment for residents and staff. You will follow facility policies, adhere to infection control standards, and perform comprehensive cleaning tasks across patient areas.

No prior experience is required as on-the-job training is provided; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred and healthcare housekeeping experience is a plus. This is an on-site role with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous healthcare housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops tile floors; may spray buff, strip, or wax floors as needed.
• Vacuum carpets in rooms.
• Empty trash, clean interior/exterior, replace liners.
• Clean bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets per procedures.
• Clean glass surfaces (mirrors, pictures, windows).
• Dust behind and underneath furnishings and surfaces.
• Follow infection control standards during cleaning.
• Remove wax/dirt buildup in corners, baseboards and doorways.
• Change soiled privacy curtains and draperies for outside windows as needed.
• Remove and re-hang curtains/draperies for outside windows from a ladder.
• Dust/damp clean surfaces in patient/resident rooms according to procedures.
• Move furniture to access hard-to-reach areas before cleaning.
• Turn and reposition bed mattresses after cleaning.
