Job summary

PruittHealth in Washington state is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to provide cleaning services that maintain a safe, sanitary, and comforting environment for residents and staff. The role follows facility policies and federal/state regulations to support quality of life in the community.

The position requires no prior experience as on-the-job training is provided; however, a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and prior healthcare housekeeping experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• None, on-the-job training is provided
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops tile floors and may spray buff, strip or wax floors per procedures
• Vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable
• Empties trash and maintains clean cans with liners
• Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures and toilets per center procedures
• Cleans glass surfaces including mirrors and windows
• Cleans behind and under furnishings
• Follows infection control standards while cleaning
• Prevents/removes wax and dirt buildup around baseboards and doorways
• Changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies for outside windows as needed
• Removes and re-hangs curtains and draperies for outside windows using a ladder
• Dusts and damp cleans surfaces in patient/resident rooms
• Moves furniture to clean behind/underneath
