Job summary

Pruitthealth Corporation is seeking a Housekeeper for the North Carolina State Veterans Home- Black Mountain location. The role provides cleaning services to maintain a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and visitors in accordance with facility policies and regulations.

You will perform duties including floor cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal, bathroom and surface cleaning, and window/drape maintenance while adhering to infection control standards.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training provided.
• Experience in healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, and cleans floors and surfaces according to center procedures.
• Vacuums carpeted areas; empties trash and maintains clean can liners.
• Cleans bathrooms, mirrors, windows, and patient/resident areas.
• Follows infection control standards during cleaning to prevent contamination.
• Dusts and moves furniture to clean behind/underneath.
• Changes curtains and draperies for outside windows as needed.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Healthcare housekeeping experience preferred
