Job summary

Ideal candidates have attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to follow instructions. Healthcare housekeeping experience is a plus; a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare or long-term care housekeeping experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and understand procedure manuals and directions.
• Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas such as lobbies and restrooms.
• Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized.
• Wipe down handrails and remove dirt from walls, fixtures.
• Empty trash and replace liners; sweep and mop floors.
• Follow safety protocols and store chemicals securely.
• Operate cleaning equipment according to manufacturer instructions.
• Report resident safety concerns to supervisors.
• Notify when supplies need replenishment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet facility standards.
