Job summary

Lexington-Post-Acute is seeking a diligent Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The role includes cleaning public areas, resident rooms, and bathrooms, with emphasis on sanitization and safety protocols.

You will handle cleaning equipment, dispose of waste, and ensure facilities meet high standards of hygiene. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent; healthcare housekeeping experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
• Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Wipe down handrails to keep them dust-free and debris-free.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols and store chemicals securely.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use supplies per manufacturer instructions.
